โš™๏ธSEE For the Earth ๐ŸŒŽ

The SEE for the Earth Lesson Plan is designed to engage students actively in exploring how engineering can be used to address social and environmental issues, such as climate change, pollution, poverty, and human rights.

The lessons cover topics such as:

โš™๏ธ What is engineering and what are some of its applications and impacts?

โš™๏ธ What are some of the ethical principles and challenges that engineers face in their work?

โš™๏ธWhat are some of the social and environmental justice issues that affect our world today and how can engineers help to solve them?

โš™๏ธ How can students use their creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills to design and implement engineering solutions for social and environmental problems?

The lessons are aligned with the **Arizona State Standards** for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and include various forms of instruction, such as problem-solving activities, videos, and hands-on STEM activities.

In addition to online, the lessons are also facilitated in-person by trained volunteers from SJEI, who will provide guidance, feedback, and support to the students and teachers.

The SEE for the Earth Lesson Plan is a free resource that will be available soon to all middle schools in Arizona and beyond.
